About Yao Family Wines

Yao Family Wines - marketed as Yao Ming Wines - was founded in 2011 by NBA Hall of Famer Yao Ming, producing premium Cabernet Sauvignon, red blends, and reserve bottlings from mountain vineyards on Atlas Peak and benches in Rutherford. Robert Parker rated the Reserve 95 pts and Wine Enthusiast rated the inaugural release 97 pts. The winery currently operates as a direct-to-consumer brand without a public tasting room.
